Irregular. Individual. Full of character.
Crazy paving creates a more organic look by bringing together irregular pieces of stone or paving to form a unique surface. The result has natural movement, texture and character that can make an outdoor area feel much more individual.
At Cobble Kings, we have the experience to turn irregular materials into carefully considered paving that feels intentional rather than chaotic.
Every project is different
One of the best things about crazy paving is that no two installations are exactly the same.
The shape, size and arrangement of the pieces create a completely individual result, while the choice of material, colour and jointing can dramatically change the overall look. Our team can help you create a layout that works with your property rather than simply following a standard pattern.

A natural alternative to traditional paving
Crazy paving works particularly well when you're looking for something less formal.
The irregular shapes create a natural flow across the surface and can soften the hard lines of modern architecture, complement gardens and landscaping, or add character to an outdoor entertaining space.
It's a popular choice for:
- Patios
- Pool surrounds
- Garden paths
- Courtyards
- Outdoor entertaining areas
- Feature areas
- Stepping areas
- Rustic or natural-style landscapes
Precision behind the randomness
While the finished result looks organic, achieving a great crazy paving installation requires skill and patience. The pieces need to be selected, positioned and fitted carefully to create a surface that looks balanced and intentional. Preparation is equally important. The correct base, levels and drainage all contribute to a finished surface that looks good and performs properly.
Make your outdoor space different
If you're looking for paving with a little more personality, crazy paving could be the answer.
It's a chance to create something that feels natural, distinctive and completely your own.
